January Fourball

At last ... a competition not affected by the weather !!!
The January Fourball was played today in good conditions and obviously the bad weather lay-off has not affected the standard of golf as the scoring was excellent considering the competition was played with 3/4 handicaps off the back tees.
The winners today were Roger Tillett & Paul Seymour with a tremendous 46 points. Runners-up with an impressive 42 points were father and son team Roy & Ian Martinez just beating Lloyd Childs and George Stockley by a single point.

Spring Turkey ?

I'm sure you all know by now the Turkey Trot had to be postponed yet again last Sunday.
We are going to give it one last try on Sunday 28th February.
If that fails, I'm afraid it will have to wait until next Christmas !!!
The new draw will be published on the board and on the web nearer the time, so look out for it. We hope for more pleasant conditions this time. Thanks for your patience.
(Can anyone remember how to play golf?)

Division 3
This division seems to be the domain of the Turners recently !!!
Having won the last two medals, Pete Turner came back to earth with a bump. A solid performance from Nick Turner won him the medal with 37 points. Second place went to Jeremy Twaits who beat Matt Baillie on countback, both scoring 34 points.

Poor Cilla Osgood - beaten on countback again for the second month running !!!
