Double for Curtis

On Thursday 20th August, the Junior Club Championship was played over 36 holes.

Although the number of competitors was down on last year, the quality of golf played was of a very high standard. At the end of 36 holes, there was a tie on gross scores between Curtis Macgeever and George Stockley carding identical rounds of 73 and 76. In the resulting play-off Curtis just managed to fend off George to take the title to make it a double with the Club Championship he won back in June. Third place went to Lloyd Childs (78+74), with Aaron Stockley two shots behind with two identical rounds of 77. Full Gross Result.
The tables were turned in the nett category with George Stockley taking the honours with a score of 137 (67+70). Curtis was second with 139 (68+71). Full Nett Result.

Ladies vs Seniors

Ladies vs Seniors competitors - nice slippers Kim!!
The annual Ladies versus Seniors match took place today in glorious sunshine. Even though we only managed to field 6 players for each team, we had a great match with lots of laughter. Fiona prepared a sumptuous summer buffet for our return to the clubhouse which soon disappeared. The Seniors were then presented with a novelty golf ball each, this resulted in much hilarity!! The Ladies section won 2-1.
