BCLGA Duncan Trophy

On Saturday, the 3rd round of this singles matchplay competition was played at Home against Donnington Valley. Our team of Fay Unsworth, Lorraine Storey, Allison Holmes, Wendy Seymour and Sian Soanes narrowly lost 2-3. We had fantastic weather and thanks must go to our caddies Sandra, Jean, Elaine, Sandy and Maria. Good luck to Donnington Valley in the semi-final round of this Berkshire County Ladies Golfing Association competition.

Guy's the Man

A good field entered the May Weekday Stableford on Thu 21st and Fri 22nd May. The competition was won by Guy Farrier with an impressive 42 points. Runner-up with 40 points was current Order of Merit leader Andrew Buchanan. Leading the rest of the field on 37 points were Tim McAuley and Kim Richardson. For full results click here.

NSPCC Ladies Golf Classic

On Sunday 17th May, twenty ladies played in wet and blustery conditions in this 4BBB Stableford competition. We were joined by ladies from Donnington Grove Golf and Country Club to make up the required numbers to enter this charity competition. Shey Walder and Kim Richardson won with 40 points and they will go on to play in the regional final at Wrag Barn, Wiltshire in August. Well done too to Karen Hugo and Lizzie Swallow who came second with 37 points. On top of the entry fee we raised £48 for the NSPCC charity. Full result.

Tom's a winner

The Seniors Edward Pearce Cup was played on Wed 13th May.
In less than ideal conditions (drizzly and damp), Tom Wallin managed to amass 40 pts to win the cup. One point behind on 39 pts was Brian Faithfull and Gerry Eatwell was third with a creditable 36 pts.
All three received handicap cuts for their pains. Well done gents.
